Hiring a bouncy castle is certainly exciting for everybody involved and makes for a fun addition to just about any birthday party! And at Tilley’s we take your fun very seriously! So while we’re not here to ruin anyone’s birthday, we have a few pieces of health and safety advice to ensure your bouncy castle hire experience is as fun as you imagined.
Let’s just all agree that if everybody’s going to have some fun, then everybody’s going to pay attention to some basic safety precautions. Here’s our top tips.
Only use the bouncy castle in good weather
We know, we know - the kids have been waiting for ages to be able to go on the bouncy castle, you’ve spent a lot of money on the bouncy castle hire - and you’re the last person who wants to tell them they can’t. But unfortunately, sometimes you have to.
Windy weather is a risk we have to take very seriously for outdoor bouncy castle hires and rain can also cause the surface to become slippery and could well lead to injuries. Don’t risk it.
Make sure there’s always an adult nearby
If you’re a parent, you’ll know better than anybody else how quickly children playing can get out of hand. On a bouncy castle, you’re adding some unpredictable bouncing to the equation too!
Make sure there’s always an adult around to nip anything in the bud before everyone gets over excited.
Take care of how many people are on the castle
Bouncy castles are exciting. We know that better than anyone – and it’s understandable that everyone wants to have their turn. In order for your bouncy castle rentals to be safe however, you need to make sure there are only a certain number of people on the castle at the same time.
Depending on the model you choose, there will be a limit, and this should be kept to. If you don’t know what it is, get in touch and we’ll let you know.
Only work with the best bouncy castle hire suppliers!
The best bouncy castle hire companies will be responsible for setting up the bouncy castle and making sure everything is ready for your children to have the best birthday party ever! Responsible companies, like Tilley’s Bouncy Castles, will be verified by PIPA so that’s something to look for when you’re making a booking and you should also make sure they have an insurance policy in place – which we do by the way!
PIPA is the organisation that provides, checks and maintains licenses for bouncy castle hire suppliers – and you shouldn’t rent a castle from someone if they haven’t given you there PIPA tag. You can verify somebody’s PIPA tag here on the website.
All our products are tested annually by PIPA to ensure no injury can be caused by inferior equipment.
We take our responsibility very seriously when it comes to children’s safety so count on Tilley’s Bouncy Castles to make sure your party is the megafun event your children have been waiting for!
